Liverpool̢۪s interest in Thorgan Hazard appeared to be confirmed by Borussia Monchengladbach̢۪s sporting director Max Eberl.
Hazard, the younger brother of Chelsea star Eden, has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga club this summer.
Eberl confirmed that the 26-year-old wants to leave Monchengladbach and will not be signing a new deal.
â€Å“Thorgan has informed us that he doesn’t want to extend his contract and that he wants to leave the club in the summer to take the next step,†Eberl told Sky Germany.
â€Å“I’ve heard this statement 15 times in the last 10 years as really great players have left us.
â€Å“That’s the way it is for us. We’ll have to see where his path will continue.
