An Ipswich fan has got a tattoo of a player’s name on his backside after making a promise on social media.
Scott Reay, from Newcastle, promised he would get Alan Judge’s name inked on his rear if the Republic of Ireland international signed permanently for the Blues.
Reay, a sales assistant, claimed he had to stay ‘true to his word’ and simply ‘had to get it done’ after Judge signed the deal with the Tractor Boys until 2021.
He said: “He’s such a good player, I thought there would be no chance he’d stay.”
While he was having the tattoo done, Reay posted a video to his Twitter, saying: “So here’s to thank Judgey for signing. Cheers.”
After penning the deal with the club, Judge, 30, expressed his gratitude for the support shown by Ipswich fans.
He told the East Anglian Times: “I’ve always been lucky in that respect. Even at Blackburn, where I didn’t play much, I was quite close with the fans. It was the same at Notts County and Brentford.
“I’m one of those lucky ones that the fans just take to. I’ve felt their support here.

“I had someone tweet me saying they were going to get my name tattooed on their back-side if I signed. I think I’ll give that one a miss!”
And Reay said he ‘absolutely loved’ the fact that he signed a new deal even though Ipswich are on course for relegation to League One.
He said: “We’ll be straight back up [to the Championship] next season with Judgey, definitely”.
Judge has made 11 appearances for Ipswich but is yet to score for the club.
