On the pitch, Barca threw away a 3-0 first leg lead by losing 4-0 to Liverpool, who subsequently pipped them to a Champions League final place.
Off the pitch, their twitter admin posted a woeful tweet which backfired massively by the time the game was all over.
After the Reds scored their first of the night to bring the game back to 3-1 on aggregate, Barca posted a picture of Luis Suarez with the following caption.
“We score, Liverpool need FIVE – and we’re going to get at lease one… agreed?â€
Three goals later and Barcelona were dumped out of the competition in humiliating fashion while Liverpool kept an impressive clean sheet.
