Chelsea 2-0 West Ham: Blues boss Maurizio Sarri admits it will be ‘very difficult’ to keep hold of Eden Hazard amid Real Madrid links

Maurizio Sarri says Chelsea are ‘lucky’ to have Eden Hazard at their disposal but said it will be ‘very difficult’ to keep him at the club this summer.

Hazard was in phenomenal form as he helped the Blues rise to third in the Premier League with a 2-0 win against West Ham at Stamford Bridge, scoring both goals.

The Belgian’s first goal was something to behold as he ran through the heart of the Hammers midfield and defence before firing the ball past Lukasz Fabianski to break the deadlock in the first-half.

He then sealed the win with a well-taken finish in the corner of the net in stoppage-time.

It’s been a stellar season for Hazard so far and he tops the Premier League charts for most goals and assists this season with a combined total of 28.

Unsurprisingly, his form has led to a lot of interest for the player elsewhere, with Real Madrid heavily linked with Hazard.

The latest reports suggest Real will announce the signing of Hazard in the next few days, according to Spanish media.

And Sarri gave a pretty honest update on Hazard’s future in west London after the win over West Ham.

When asked about his views on Hazard’s alleged £100million asking price, Sarri said: â€Å“In this market it’s too cheap.

â€Å“Hazard played a wonderful match but I think he also played well against Brighton.

â€Å“When Hazard is able to play like he did in these matches we are lucky because it’s very easy to win the match. He is able to make the difference.

â€Å“I don’t know [about Hazard’s future], I have no idea…I think it’s very hard to change Hazard with another player.

â€Å“I can’t do anything…but if Eden wants another experience, it’s very difficult to keep him.

â€Å“We are trying to improve, we are trying to become one of the best teams in England and Europe but I have to respect his decision.”

The win is a big result for the Blues as they compete against Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United for a place in the top four and the coveted Champions League spots.

Chelsea are third on 66 points, ahead of Spurs (64) and Arsenal (63) in fourth and fifth respectively, while United are sixth with 61 points, although Chelsea have played one more game than all of them.

And despite the important result, Sarri believes his players need to be more clinical.

He added: â€Å“I think we played a really good match against a very dangerous opponent.

â€Å“They haven’t been consistent but the quality of the players is very very high.

â€Å“We played very well in the first-half and I think we could have scored more. I was happy with the performance but not the score.

â€Å“The in the second-half for about ten minutes we lost full control of the match but then got it back in the last part of the match.”
