Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi will stay at the club and start ‘75-80 per cent of matches in the near future’, manager Maurizio Sarri has predicted.
The talented 18-year-old winger, who recently made his full England debut, is yet to start a Premier League game for the Blues despite increasing pressure from fans.
His future at Stamford Bridge remains a constant source of speculation after Chelsea rejected several January bids from Bayern Munich, who are expected to renew their interest this summer.
The teenager is yet to agree a new deal with the west London club and his current contract expires next year.
He reportedly wants more assurances over playing time, and speaking ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Cardiff, Sarri offered some clarity on Hudson-Odoi’s progress at Chelsea.

“I know very well the situation. Last season Callum was only 17 and he played three or four matches,” Sarri said.
“This season he is very young, at the moment he has played, I don’t remember, 19 or 20 matches.
“The evolution is the right one. Probably he will play 30 or 35 matches next season. With Callum we are in the right path.
“We have to play eight matches in 28 days, so he will start in two or three matches. For every competition there is no difference, so I am really very confident with him.
“He has started a lot of matches. Not in Premier League, but by chance, it is not a problem for him to start a Premier League match, he is ready.
“But I can only play with two wingers, we have [Eden] Hazard, Pedro, Willian. Probably in the near future he will start in 75 or 80 per cent of matches.â€

Manchester United and Barcelona are also rumoured to be plotting summer bids for Hudson-Odoi, who Chelsea are desperate to keep.
Reports emerged earlier today suggesting the Blues are willing to offer the winger £100,000-a-week to persuade him to sign a new deal.
It is understood the club will refuse to sell Hudson-Odoi even if it means letting him leave for free when his contract runs out, and Sarri reaffirmed that view on Friday.
When asked if Hudson-Odoi will be a Chelsea player next season, he said: “I think so.
“I can’t say if he is going to sign a new contract with us, but I think he is going to stay with us regardless.â€
